C2C or Corner to Corner crochet is a crochet technique that involves working diagonally from one corner of a square or rectangle to the opposite corner and back again.

I first learned this technique in February 2019, when I decided to start making a blanket for my youngest daughter. At this point in my crochet journey I had been crocheting for less than 3 months. My mother-in-law was surprised that I had decided to make something so difficult since I hadn't been crocheting long.
I found the pattern on Yarnspirations.com and it is rated as an intermediate level pattern. It took me just 3 weeks to crochet this blanket for my daughter. I was finished a lot faster than I ever imagined, and everyone was surprised at how fast I had worked.
Since creating my first corner to corner blanket, I have made more than I can count. Once I figured out how to crochet this pattern, (because let's be for real it's a pattern not a stitch,) I have used it constantly. This particular pattern is simple because it is what is considered a repeating pattern. Here's why I find it so simple: Can you count to 6? Can you make a chain? How about a double crochet? Oh, you can. That's all you need to know how to do in order to create this blanket. Which when you put it like that makes you go, hmmmm. Maybe it is that easy. And it is!
I have since learned that you can do a Corner to Corner in any stitch, not just a double crochet. As a matter of fact, some of the beautiful "graphgans" you've seen may have been made using C2C.
